It’s that time of year. Christmas is over. Valentines day is over. You’ve got so much junk everywhere from the year before – and you have no space to put anything, anywhere...

...decluttering your home is a mammoth of a task to even comprehend – but there are some small little things you can do to make your life so much easier. Here are a few of our favourites.

Give away one item each day.

While it doesn’t sound like a lot, over time, you’re actually getting rid of A LOT of junk, which you don’t need. This will really work as a long time strategy to keep your home junk free, after successfully getting rid of the clutter in your home.

Decide on a room to work on.

Deciding on one messy room will definitely help in your quest to declutter your home – as it allows you to home all of your attention into one place. This method is better than wondering your house aimlessly, picking up random bits and bobs because let’s face it – you’re annihilating a WHOLE room with your decluttering ability. Result!

Got Kids? Store their toys!

Having children means their toys are constantly everywhere and turns your home into the aftermath of a nuclear blast – however, it doesn’t have to be like this. Grab yourself some plastic boxes and store their toys in them for a fast and easy way to clear up at the end of the day. No more stressing out! 

Give old clothes to charity.

Let’s face it. You have a wardrobe full of clothes you don’t even wear – let alone ones that fit you. Why not give your clothes to charity, as it will declutter your home and it’ll also help someone else.

This week it's a packed show with Duncan from Blue Flame Heating Solutions interviewing James from Windhager, where they discuss Biomass Heating.


Also if your house is still on the market David & Zoe from Marshall’s Estate Agent have some top tips with options you can look into.


And we get counting Snails and Slugs in the garden with Dr Dave Hodgson, senior lecturer in Ecology at Exeter University. Dave is urging people across the UK to join the nationwide ecological experiment ‘the big snail count’.
