Decluttering Your Home

6th March 2015

It’s that time of year. Christmas is over. Valentines day is over. You’ve got so much junk everywhere from the year before – and you have no space to put anything, anywhere...

...decluttering your home is a mammoth of a task to even comprehend – but there are some small little things you can do to make your life so much easier. Here are a few of our favourites.

Give away one item each day.

While it doesn’t sound like a lot, over time, you’re actually getting rid of A LOT of junk, which you don’t need. This will really work as a long time strategy to keep your home junk free, after successfully getting rid of the clutter in your home.

Decide on a room to work on.

Deciding on one messy room will definitely help in your quest to declutter your home – as it allows you to home all of your attention into one place. This method is better than wondering your house aimlessly, picking up random bits and bobs because let’s face it – you’re annihilating a WHOLE room with your decluttering ability. Result!

Got Kids? Store their toys!

Having children means their toys are constantly everywhere and turns your home into the aftermath of a nuclear blast – however, it doesn’t have to be like this. Grab yourself some plastic boxes and store their toys in them for a fast and easy way to clear up at the end of the day. No more stressing out!

Give old clothes to charity.

Let’s face it. You have a wardrobe full of clothes you don’t even wear – let alone ones that fit you. Why not give your clothes to charity, as it will declutter your home and it’ll also help someone else.
